Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill suggested he might not return to the NFL even after he recovers from his severe knee injury.

Hill appeared on “The Set” Friday and admitted that he will have a decision to make when it comes to playing again. The veteran receiver opened up about the challenges of the rehab process, and how he was finding that he has been happy to just enjoy time with his family while recovering from the injury.

“Right now, I’m happy. I’m happy with being with my kids. I’m happy with the career that I’ve had,” Hill said. “I love playing football, but it takes a lot. It takes a lot to be the best and stay at the top and make a lot of money and help your team win. I’m at the point now where I’m just like, I need to have a conversation with mom, family, everybody.

“Wherever my mind is at the time, there’s a decision to be made. Right now, I feel like I haven’t had time to just live in the moment and be in the moment with my family.”

#Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill seems like he’s not sure whether or not he’ll play football again:

Hill’s stance does make sense. He turns 32 next March and is facing a long and difficult rehab that could stretch well into 2026. There is also no guarantee that Hill will return as the same player considering how essential speed and agility are to his game.

The wide receiver has earned over $117 million in his career, so he should be financially set. The Dolphins are likely to part ways with him no matter what, so if Hill does continue his career, it may have to be with a new team.
