Phil Taylor’s comeback attempt this season reportedly has come to an end.
ESPN reporter John Keim says Taylor underwent an MRI Monday on his quad, which revealed a season-ending injury.
Taylor was a first-round pick out of Baylor in 2011 and played four seasons for the Browns. He recorded 59 tackles and four sacks as a rookie.

He last played in the league in 2014 and was looking to make a comeback this season after feeling recovered from knee problems. Indications were that Taylor would make the 53-man roster up until he suffered his quad injury on Sunday.
