Aaron Murray and girlfriend Kacie McDonnell break up, call off engagement

Aaron Murray and girlfriend Kacie McDonnell have ended their relationship and called off their engagement.

Murray, a former Georgia quarterback and now member of the Chiefs, and McDonnell, a TV reporter, began dating in 2013 while Murray was in college. McDonnell was working in Philly at the time and would travel to watch his games. She even gave up her job in TV in Philly to move with Aaron after he was drafted by the Chiefs.

Things seemed to be going well because Murray proposed to McDonnell in October, but now that engagement has been called off.

“I’m loving my career in Kansas City,” McDonnell told the Philly Daily News. “I’m really committed to being a part of this community for the time being. The engagement is off. I wish him the best, it’s best to part ways. I’m moving on with my life.”

There’s also some coincidental timing here; Murray’s brother, who appeared on “The Bachelor,” also just ended his engagement.

When it comes to football-playing Murray’s and engagements, I never expected this one to break up and the other one to be getting engaged. Shocker.
