
Alex Ovechkin showed off nearly every move in his tool bag on a fancy assist in Game 7 of the Washington Capitals’ first-round playoff series with the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday.
The Caps were already leading 1-0 when Tom Wilson scored midway through the first period to extend the lead. He had an open window for the goal thanks to Ovechkin’s incredible moves, including his beautiful toe drag. Take a look:

That was Ovechkin’s fifth assist of the series and ninth point. He’s on a pace similar to last postseason where he had 27 points in 24 games that culminated in the Caps’ first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
