Andrew Shaw uses gay slur, flips the bird after penalty (Video)
Andrew Shaw had quite the game for the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night. He picked up a goal, two assists, four penalties, a double-bird to the refs, and one big gay slur.
The Blackhawks center was called for interference in the final few minutes of Chicago’s 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues that made the series 3-1 in favor of the Blues. Frustrated over the penalty that hurt Chicago’s chances at coming back, Shaw flipped a double-bird at the refs:

Then the shenanigans didn’t stop. From the penalty box, Shaw was seen hurling an F-bomb and gay slur:

He also threw some drink holders as part of his tantrum:

After the game, Shaw was asked about the homophobic slur he so obviously used. He said “I don’t know what I said.”

The You Can Play Project already tweeted that they will be looking into the incident, meaning Shaw could face discipline.
We are aware of tonight's incident and will be reaching out to the NHL immediately to assist in an appropriate response.

With all the attention this has received, we wouldn’t be surprised if the NHL fined or suspended Shaw.
