For a man whose team had been owned by the Pittsburgh Penguins in recent years, Barry Trotz sure had a lot of confidence entering Monday’s Game 6. And he was proved correct.
After his Washington Capitals beat the Penguins 2-1 to advance to the Eastern Conference finals, Trotz said that he was confident all day that his team would win the game.

That type of confidence was needed for Washington to overcome their struggles against Pittsburgh in the past. Now Trotz and the Caps need to take that same mentality into their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the conference finals.
