Canucks’ Alex Edler avoids serious injury despite nasty fall
Alex Edler avoided serious injury despite his nasty fall on Monday night.
The Vancouver Canucks defenseman landed face-first on the ice after a fall against the Philadelphia Flyers. He was bleeding heavily on the ice after the fall and had to be taken away on a stretcher.

Despite the fall, Edler did not suffer any facial fractures. He was just sore as of Tuesday and needed to be stitched up, though he has a concussion and will be out a week.
Hard to imagine, but Canucks’ Alex Edler is just sore and stitched today…but nothing is broken. No facial fractures.
