Malika Andrews is expanding her duties for The Worldwide Leader.
ESPN announced on Tuesday that the veteran NBA host Andrews is branching out into tennis. Andrews will serve as the host of the network’s coverage of the second week of the 2026 Australian Open later this month (including the championship weekend).
Variety reports too that Andrews’ tennis duties will be even more comprehensive. Andrews is also set to lead ESPN’s broadcasts of the U.S. Open and Wimbledon later this year.
The 30-year-old Andrews is a rising star at ESPN, having been with the network since 2018. She began as a reporter and then eventually became a studio host for ESPN in 2021. Andrews currently leads ESPN’s daily basketball program “NBA Today” and has drawn rave reviews for her professionalism on the air.
It has been a big last several months for Andrews as she recently landed a contract extension from ESPN. Andrews was also just tabbed as the replacement for one of the well-known hosts that just left the network.
Now Andrews is set to add tennis to her growing broadcast portfolio along with her basketball coverge. She married a fellow ESPN reporter a little while back as well and continues to move on up in the media world.
