Tomm Looney’s 15-year run as a co-host with JT The Brick on FOX Sports Radio came to an end this month, but the host has his eye on another venture.

Looney told Larry Brown Sports that he filmed a pilot for a game show that he is hoping will get picked up.

“We have a game show in development and can only disclose that I will be the host at this juncture,” Looney said.

In addition to his longtime work at FOX Sports Radio, Looney was known for being the voice of “The Best Damn Sports Show, Period” during its run from 2001-2009.

“It was an amazing run with JT and FOX. JT is a remarkable talent and friend, and I could easily do 15 more years. I didn’t like my colleagues at FSR – in most cases, I loved them. And of course, we couldn’t have done it without the listeners,” he says.

JT and Looney were heard in nearly 300 markets across the FOX Sports Radio Network. JT announced the news of his departure to his Twitter followers on Sept. 7.

Since 2001, I’ve been proud to work @FoxSportsRadio Thanks to my bosses, co-workers and most importantly the listeners who have made this an incredible chapter in my life. I look forward to the future. Stay tuned…..

On a personal note, I began my sports radio career as an intern on JT’s show in 2002. Looney joined the show not long thereafter, and the program evolved into a staple on sports talk radio. JT demanded fans bring the same passion and energy to the show that he did every night, while Looney balanced things out with his “Pop Looney” segments and counter opinions. Several shows came and went from the network over the years, but their show was a constant for 15 years. That’s a tribute to the high standard they achieved daily, and the way they connected with their audience.
