Conor McGregor, Khabib refuse to shake hands after fight
The beef between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov is as real as it gets.
Both fighters dislike each other so much that they each independently said they would not shake the other’s hand after their fight at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Khabib showed up to Thursday’s press conference on time and was asked if he would shake McGregor’s hand after their fight. He said no and did not offer an explanation, seemingly indicating it is self-explanatory.
Reporter: "Win or lose will you shake Conor's hand after the fight?"
Khabib: "No. No way."#UFC229— Bloody Elbow (@BloodyElbow) October 4, 2018
McGregor showed up about 30 minutes late, by which time Khabib had already left. He was also asked whether he’d shake his opponent’s hand and also said no.
Now Conor's asked if he'll shake Khabib's hands "Aim for peace, or aim between the eyes. This is never over. Never, ever over."#UFC229

The issues between the two sides go back a while. Matters became even more personal following McGregor’s bus attack prior to UFC 223 in April.
