Breezy Johnson’s Olympics just got a whole lot better.

Johnson got engaged to her boyfriend Connor Watkins on Thursday in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Watkins proposed to Johnson after her attempt to race in the women’s Super-G competition (she crashed). Watkins got down on one knee and asked Johnson to marry her.

“Hey guys… meet Connor! My ex boyfriend! And current fiancé!!! 💍 Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!” Johnson wrote as the caption for her Instagram post on the engagement.

Johnson even got a shoutout from Taylor Swift, who commented on the post via Instagram.

“‘Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me’ CONGRATULATIONS!!!” Swift’s account wrote.

Swift’s comment contained lyrics from her 2024 song “The Alchemy.” A photo Johnson shared included a tag by her engagement ring that said “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”, which is part of the song.

Though Johnson crashed in the Super-G event, she won gold in the women’s downhill earlier in the week.

Interestingly, Johnson’s engagement also comes not long after she publicly discussed her sexuality in an interview with CBS.

“I came to the conclusion that I was bi(sexual), and quickly came to the conclusion that I needed to tell people because they deserve to know that the world of champions is not just straight white people”
