Mexico coach had good advice before match with Brazil
Mexico pulled off a stunning upset over Germany in the group stages of the World Cup on Sunday, and some great advice from manager Juan Carlos Osorio may have helped put the team at ease prior to the big match.
In his postgame press conference, Osorio said he simply told his players to compete for the love of the sport and not worry about losing to the defending World Cup champions.
Good line from #MEX coach Osorio in post-match press conference: "I told them to play for the love of winning and not the fear of losing."

Mexico was very clearly ready for the challenge. They played outstanding defense and only needed one goal, which came in the first half and was celebrated so enthusiastically it caused an earthquake.
Many players aren’t using to being on a stage as large as the World Cup, so Osorio’s advice likely resonated with his team. The win over Germany should give them plenty of confidence going forward.
