
It didn’t take long for the haters to go to work on the Wikipedia page of FIFA referee Yuichi Nishimura after the Japanese official made a controversial call that led to a Brazilian goal in the first match of the 2014 World Cup Thursday.
Nishimura gave Croatia a yellow card for what most people felt was a dive by Fred in the box that led to a free kick for Brazil that Neymar converted to break the 1-1 tie.
Following the controversial call, Nishimura’s Wikipedia page was updated accordingly. Not only was he called a Brazilian football referee with his birth location listed as Sao Paulo instead of Japan, but the controversy was already added to his page:
