Draymond Green found out he was an All-Star from his mother on live TV (Video)
Draymond Green is an NBA All-Star for the first time, and he found out from his mother on live television.
The Warriors forward was doing a straightforward interview with CSN Bay Area when, abruptly, they brought in his mother, Mary Babers-Green, with a special announcement.
“How does she know this and I don’t know this is my question,” Green said.
“You know I always know though, right?” his mother responded.
Never question mom, Draymond. Mom always knows.
Green was understandably overwhelmed and lost for words, both by the news and how it was delivered to him. It made for excellent television, though.
Green’s mother – and grandmother, who was also present for the announcement – have clearly had a big impact on his life. They’ve also impacted how he deals with officials, apparently.
