Report: Kevin Love likely to re-sign with Cavaliers
There have been a lot of questions about what Kevin Love will do as a free agent, but it sounds like he will remain with the Cavaliers.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reports that the Cavs are “increasingly confident” that they will be able to re-sign Love. He says they plan to offer the forward a five-year, $110 million contract. He reportedly is likely to remain with the team. Love even met with LeBron James in Los Angeles Sunday and hung out with him at a hotel pool, according to Windhorst.
Someone even got a photo of it:

Though it’s unclear what they talked about, that’s a good sign for their future relationship, especially considering the report that said James would not re-recruit Love.
Love said last month that he expects to remain with the Cavaliers for the future. Wearing a Cleveland Indians hat and sitting behind the Cavs’ bench after getting hurt were good signs that he still wants to be part of the team and community. Of course, there is still a possibility that the Cavs explore a sign-and-trade for Love, but that now sounds less likely.
