NBA All-Star Game 2011 Red Carpet Watch

The 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles held true to the city in which it took place, as the players hit the red carpet with their best Hollywood outfits on. Chris Bosh and LeBron James were sporting softer color suits and sun glasses, while the other member of Miami’s Bermuda Triangle, Dwyane Wade, was representing with a skinny tie.

The other top team in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics, put their four stars in the game. Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen all went with the secret service look, while Kevin Garnett went sans shades:

Apparently the non-dirty player didn’t get the memo. Here are pics of all the other All-Stars and celebs on the red carpet at Staples Center:

EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS

Amare Stoudemire was going with the nerd look, which instantly raises a call to the LBS fashion police. But since he’s the Knicks’ first All-Star starter since Patrick Ewing, we’ll cut him some slack. The two Atlanta All-Stars — Al Horford and Joe Johnson — looked classy in their three-piece suits. Dwight Howard went casual and looked like he was stepping out of a J. Crew catalog with his pullover sweater. Bulls point guard Derrick Rose went with a light-colored suit as smooth as his ball-handling skills.

WESTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS

Blake Griffin looked like the terminator in a suit, but when you can dunk over cars, you can where anything you want. Pau Gasol went Euro-casual — no tie and his hair and beard unkempt. Kobe Bryant sported jeans and a button-up jacket, looking like the true Black Mamba. Carmelo Anthony stood out as the man making the biggest fashion statement. He had an animal skin looking tie and belt and went all beige in the shirt and pants. Deron Williams kept it simple with a plain suit, shirt, and tie, as if he wanted to keep things under-the-radar.

Neither Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook look comfortable dressed up, but they did their best. Durant had a sleek three-piecer on, and Westbrook went with a pink-colored shirt. Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan couldn’t be bothered to dress up, but that’s their style. Ginobili went sans-tie, while Duncan went baggy pants and baggy long-sleeve shirt. Dirk Nowitzki spruced things up a bit, wearing a high-cut vest and wide-knotted tie. He certainly proved that despite his hair, he has some fashion taste. Kevin Love wasn’t too low-profile with his outfit, but he didn’t try to stand out. His outfit matched his game — not too flashy, but good enough to get the job done well. Chris Paul meanwhile was quite dapper, sporting designer sunglasses, a skinny tie, and a hanky matching his shirt. He looks like he just stepped out of a GQ spread.
