Steph Curry sends message with his shoes at practice
Steph Curry heard enough about people mocking his shoes and decided to defend them himself.
The reigning two-time league MVP responded to all the jokes about his new Curry 2 Low “Chef Curry” shoes by wearing them to the Golden State Warriors’ practice on Sunday.

Not only that, but he also wrote a special note on his sneakers, calling them “straight” fire with the image of some flames.

Curry is trying to make a statement with the shoes after they were heavily mocked on the internet during the week for being plain, dad-type sneakers (see the jokes here). He defended them after Game 4 on Friday by also calling them “straight fire” and said he would have worn them if he had them in his road bag. Now that the Warriors are back home for Monday’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals, we should expect to see him wearing them, quieting all the dissenters.
