Report: Suns shopping Eric Bledsoe, may draft Kris Dunn to replace him

Eric Bledsoe Suns

The Phoenix Suns could be poised to make significant changes in the coming weeks.

According to Sean Deveney of the Sporting News, Eric Bledsoe is “firmly on the trading block,” with the Suns in search of frontcourt help. They may replace Bledsoe with Providence’s Kris Dunn, whom they are reportedly eyeing with the No. 4 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Bledsoe signed a big deal with the Suns in 2014, but reepeated knee injuries could be a stumbling block to a trade. When Bledsoe is on the court, he is a dynamic guard, but he has had his left meniscus removed and his right one removed altogether, his most recent injury costing him much of 2015-16. His knees are big trouble spots for potential suitors.

Dunn, meanwhile, is proving a rather popular figure with NBA franchises, with another team reportedly very interested in drafting him if they can find a pick to do it.
