Floyd Mayweather reportedly scored Bradley-Pacquiao fight a draw
Floyd Mayweather Jr. reportedly scored the latest Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley fight as a draw, which would make him about the only person who did not see it as an overwhelming victory for Pac-Man.
Pacquiao knocked Bradley down twice and all the judges scored the fight 116-110 in his favor. Not Floyd, though.
According to ESPN’s Wallace Matthews, Mayweather met with Bradley after the fight and told him he thought the fight was a draw.
And according to a person privy to the conversation, Mayweather told Bradley he thought the fight was much closer than the official scorecards — all three judges had Pacquiao winning 116-110. In fact, Mayweather told Bradley his own scorecard had the fight a draw.
Was Mayweather just being nice to Bradley or did he actually see the fight as a draw? If he truly believed that, he would be in a minority with his opinion. Then again, Mayweather’s rival is Pacquiao, so it’s unlikely he would give the Filipino the benefit of the doubt about anything. Or maybe Mayweather learned how to score fights from judge CJ Ross.
