Laquon Treadwell injury video is nasty
Ole Miss suffered a double-whammy on Saturday night as they lost their game against Auburn and they lost sophomore wide receiver Laquon Treadwell for the season.
Treadwell was tackled nearby the goal line on the Rebels’ final possession of the game. What initially appeared to be a go-ahead touchdown by Treadwell was ruled a fumble upon review, giving the ball to the Tigers, who held on for the win.
After the 35-31 defeat, Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze confirmed that Treadwell does have a fracture, which is what everyone watching could see.
Below are two videos that show Treadwell’s leg injury, which turned out to be a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle.
Treadwell had 10 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown in the game. The young man was following up his excellent freshman campaign with another solid season. He had 48 catches for 642 yards and five touchdowns this season. We wish him the best in his recovery and hope he’ll be able to return to his previous form.
