Nick Saban Yells At, Spanks Freshman Quarterback A.J. McCarron (Video)

I guess part of what makes a great coach a great coach is never missing a teachable moment.  With his Alabama Crimson Tide leading Mississippi State, 30-3, Nick Saban decided to give his redshirt freshman quarterback, A.J. McCarron, a few reps.  McCarron passed for 50 yards and rushed for -10 during his limited action, but it appeared Saban wasn’t all that pleased with his performance. Either that, or he was way too please.  You be the judge.  Check out the video of Nick Saban spanking A.J. McCarron:

That’s a straight up “I told you to be home before the street lights came on!” ass-warming right there.  Thanks to Deadspin and YouTube user SportsAndSuch for the video.

I could never play for Nick Saban based on the classless way that he dressed down his back-up QB McCarron, both on and off the field. In my opinion he’s a worthless Neanderthal to humiliate his player in public with both verbal & physical assaults before millions of TV viewers the way that he did. As a matter of fact, I would refuse to shake the buffoon’s hand if someone ever introduced us. Lee Iacocca has it right regarding such behavior – Lee advocates; commend in public and reprimand in private. If Nick is capable of learning something other than recruiting skills, he could learn some people skills from Lee. Nick’s behavior makes Steve Spurrier look like a choirboy, and Steve makes Nick look like a Buck Private instead of a Field General in developing & executing War Games.

Is McCarron really the future for Bama? Maybe UA should build another statue to St. Nicholas or increase his compensation.

I could never have played for Nick Saban based on the classless way that he dressed down his back-up QB, McCarron, both on and off the field of play. In my opinion he’s a worthless SlOB to humiliate his player in public with both verbal & physical assaults before millions of TV viewers the way that he did. He was a little more subdued, but he verbally assaulted his punter much the same way in an earlier game. Therefore, I would refuse to shake this raging buffoon’s hand if someone ever introduced us. Lee Iacocca has it right regarding such behavior – Lee advocates; commend in public and reprimand in private. If Nick is capable of learning something other than recruiting skills & polishing his Napoleonic-complex driven intimidating style, he could learn some people skills from Lee. Nick’s sideline behavior makes Steve Spurrier look like a choirboy, and Steve makes Nick look like a Buck Private instead of a Field General in developing & executing fotball’s War Games.

probably don’t keep score at little league games because winning is not important?
Nick Saban is a winner, plain and simple. If you want to be a winner you have to except and deal with little “constructive criticism” lol

Nick Saban is a jerk. To embarrass that young man in front of millions is appalling. My opinion of Nick Saban took a big hit as a reault of this incident. I hope Auburn grinds Bama into the ground.
    Take that Nicky Boy…..you a.s.s.h.o.l.e!
