Mark Sanchez had another abysmal performance for the New York Jets on Monday night against the Tennessee Titans, this time putting the final nail in the coffin for the 2012 season and possibly his career with the team. Sanchez threw four interceptions and turned the ball over five times, finishing with an embarrassing passer rating of 32.6. It was the second time in three weeks that he threw three or more interceptions in a single game.
Many Jets fans saw enough of Sanchez weeks ago, but several of them needed the brutal loss to Tennessee to fully give up on the former USC star. As you can see from the video above, a couple of Jets fans decided to put their “sincere disheartening” on display after the game and ceremoniously burn their Sanchez jerseys. And yes, they made sure to mention the infamous butt fumble.
As you might imagine, these young men weren’t the only Jets fans burning jerseys after Monday night’s game ended on yet another embarrassing fumble. This guy also decided to give it a shot, although it doesn’t appear he had as much success:
And with that, another season ends in disappointment for New York’s other football team. Where will they go from here?
