LeSean McCoy: My 2-year-old son is better than Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow PatriotsYou can add Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy to the long list of current and former athletes who do not think very highly of Tim Tebow’s football ability. Tebow may have a great personality and know how to make a National Championship Game prediction, but very few are surprised that he is unemployed. McCoy certainly believes he should remain a free agent.

TMZ caught up with Shady at LAX over the weekend and asked him who he thought is the best NFL player who is not signed to a contract. The first example the reporter gave was Tebow.

“Tim Tebow?” McCoy said with a look of disgust. “My son is 2. I’ll take my son over Tim Tebow.”

McCoy went on to name former teammate Vince Young before settling on Chris Johnson, who was officially released by the Tennessee Titans just over a week ago.

Come on, man. Weren’t we supposed to stop dogging on Tebow after he made that hilarious Super Bowl commercial dogging on himself? Don’t kick a good Christian while he’s down.

And my 6 year old Boxer is smarter than McCoy.

  • TEXIZZ

I am sorry Mr. McCoy but I have never heard of you, nor do I want to!

  • bonairsfavoriteson

Vince Young in any conversation just shows that he and Mc Coy must share the same IQ number. Between 5 and 7.

  • ANN K

He is a big bully and don ‘t have a clue who he is himself.

  • Hp B

C’mon man! Can Vince Young even count to two?

  • SpinMax

Tebow has more postseason wins than McCoy still, right?

McCoy is just another TURD in the punch bowl. He’s jealous cause all Tebow ever did was WIN. Admit it LASEAN you don’t like Tim Tebow cause he’s WHITE. Just admit you’re a RACIST.

  • SherylSimpson

But keep kicking “bad Christians”…”? “non-Christians…? all you want? Are we assuming CJ or Vince are atheists because they don’t wear their faith on their sleeves? And why exactly should we cut Tebow slack as an athlete, based in religion? Leave the religion out of it. McCoy, CJ and VY are all knuckleheads, it’s true. But both CJ and VY are better football players than Tebow. And THAT was the question McCoy was asked. He gave an intelligent answer. No religious reference necessary.

  • grimaldi

Obviously you nothing about football, so why are you here?

  • grimaldi

And McCoy is still in the NFL, leading the league in rushing, right?

  • grimaldi

Yes, McCoy is jealous of Tebow’s NFL career. Tebow’s a Hall of Famer in the minds of many of his devout followers.

  • grimaldi

McCoy doesn’t like Tebow because LeSean is homophobic.

  • rams_027

Actually McCoy is like the little girl on the playground, that pinches, or kicks the little boy she actually likes even though she says that boy is dumb. So he is probably cruising for a piece of @_s_s.

  • rams_027

Actually he is not leading the league in rushing, the season is over. Right

  • rams_027

I am not taking anything away from McCoy’s skills ON the field. I would draft McCoy in my fantasy league. But he could choose his words more wisely.

  • grimaldi

Tebow leads the league in helping to perform circumcisions. Right.

  • grimaldi

It sounds like you’ve selected McCoy to be on your team in some sort of private Fantasy League.

  • rams_027

How can you say he gave an intelligent answer when he said. “My son is 2. I’ll take my son over Tim Tebow.” How intelligent is a 2 year old playing q.b. for the N.F.L. ???? It’s not…

  • grimaldi

His son has 20+ years to develop into a pro quarterback. Tebow has shown he is not good enough for any team to sign him, and he seems to be regressing.

  • SherylSimpson

McCoy was being facetious. i highly doubt he thinks a toddler can play NFL football. the point that most intelligent persons would take from this is that NEITHER CAN TIM TEBOW. McCoy was asked who he thought deserved to be in the NFL and given the example of Tebow. he cracked wise, and then gave his answer: CJ or VY. it showed more intelligence than people who fail to grasp irony…

  • rams_027

Thank you for your apparent PHD answer. but again I ask how intelligent is he to say he would take his son over Tebow. No need to take a shot at someone. Had he left it as just CJ and VY, I would have been fine with his answer. They are both better then Tebow. So it really was not intelligent to give that kind of answer. And most people with common sense would agree with that. And yes, I did grasp the irony, I just thought it was uncalled for and not the smartest thing he could have said.

  • rams_027

Actually in reading most of your comments, it seams to be you that is cruising for a piece. Please go to YOUR other sites for that. and take your Tebow crush with you.

  • SherylSimpson

It was weak, but it was FACETIOUS. it isn’t really common sense to expect intelligent, reasoned responses from athletes, anyway. Just like the general population, some are smart, most are average, some are downright stupid. If the reporter had asked the question more intelligently and not tried to squeeze Tebow into the conversation for no good reason, then McCoy wouldn’t have even had to invoke an ironic response. His answer, CJ and VY, was a reasonable, intelligent answer. Anyone who brings up Tebow unnecessarily gets what he or she gets.
Ans as far as my “PHD response”…why do you demand intelligence from Lesean McCoy, who has proven himself to be a knucklehead, but ridicule my intelligent response to you? You grasping THAT irony, dude?

  • grimaldi

You’ve been reading most of my comments? Listen, you perverted stalker, I might report you to the proper authorities. Although I’m sure you’re used to that.

  • grimaldi

The “reporter” was actually a knuckle-head from TMZ looking to stir up trouble.

  • SherylSimpson

    And there you have it…
