Report: Marshawn Lynch has expressed interest in playing for Patriots
All indications have been that Marshawn Lynch would only come out of retirement if he has an opportunity to play for the Oakland Raiders, but one report claims another team has entered the mix. And it’s not the Seattle Seahawks.
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald was told that Lynch has “privately expressed interest” in joining the New England Patriots if things don’t work out with the Raiders.

Reports say Lynch has told the Raiders he intends to come out of retirement and the belief is that he will eventually finagle his way to Oakland. The Seahawks still hold Lynch’s rights, so they would have to either release or trade him.
The Patriots have yet to re-sign LeGarrette Blount, and Lynch would be a terrifying addition to their power running game. Now that a new team has been added to the mix, the comments Lynch’s lawyer made recently are even more interesting.
