Rob Gronkowski spikes mic in London at fans’ request (Video)

Rob Gronkowski is a crowd pleaser if nothing else. The Patriots tight end was addressing fans in Trafalgar Square in London on Saturday ahead of New England’s game against the St. Louis Rams when he began receiving calls to “spike the mic!”

Gronk started laughing, stopped talking about the Rams, took one look at the mic in his right hand, and happily obliged with a vicious spike. Gronkowski followed up the spike by kicking the mic for good measure. His impromptu actions left teammate Wes Welker dying in laughter, and even put a big smile on coach Bill Belichick’s face.

The MC admitted he was shocked that Gronk actually went through with the spike, saying he thought the tight end would only fake it. Clearly he doesn’t know how Gronkowski rolls. Nothing he does is half-assed. You want a spike? You get the full thing. This is just the latest example of what makes Gronkowski so awesome and lovable.
