16-year-old Canadian swimmer Penny Oleksiak took home the silver medal in the women’s 100m butterfly on Sunday and made sure to stay true to her roots in victory.
Oleksiak took to Twitter on Monday to say that she may or may not have prayed to the 6 God himself, Canadian icon Drake, before her race.
May or may not have prayed to the 6ix god before my race last night..? #worthit #torontopride pic.twitter.com/NkjOOvEOub

Like the Grammy Award-winning rapper, Oleksiak, the younger sister of Dallas Stars defenceman Jamie Oleksiak, hails from Toronto, Ontario. She also won the bronze medal in the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay on Saturday and is still scheduled to race in the women’s 100m freestyle, so we’ll see how much more luck Drizzy can bestow upon her.
Always gotta keep the family close.
