Vancouver Canadians Film Awesome Major League Spoof Commercial (Video)
By Larry Brown July 1, 2011 - Posted in YouTubeage

We’re huge fans of Major League, which is easily one of the best sports movies ever made. Apparently so are the Vancouver Canadians, a minor league affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. They filmed this sweet Major League-style commercial to help sell tickets. Check it out:

OK, so some of the lines were a bit awkward, but that’s still a winner in my book. The gold standard for team ticket sales commercials remains Samuel L. Jackson’s “Rise Up” video for the Falcons, but that was still strong. And by strong, I mean if I lived in Vancouver I would totally check em out. Maybe Vancouver resident Chad from IntheOT.com will pay them a visit on our behalf.

Head nod to Jimmy Traina’s Hot Clicks for the video

That is fantastic I need to get myself out to some games at the NAT this year. Its a classic ballpark in Vancouver located right in the heart of the city next to beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park. You should check out the video I made there last year when live in attendance.
