Murray stellar year in both baseball and football for the Sooners has been nothing short of amazing.
The Texas native batted .296 with 13 doubles, 10 home runs, a .954 OPS and 10 stolen bases for the Sooners baseball team in the spring. That led the A’s to draft him with the No. 9 overall pick. They agreed to let him play football this fall, and Murray has been one of the best players in the country, replicating the success that Baker Mayfield had a season ago. Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy and went on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Murray has been so good that he would likely be a first-round pick in the NFL draft. He really could choose his sport at this point, because either way he seems destined for success. He even seems to know it.
