Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray has enjoyed such an incredible season for Oklahoma this year that it has led to questions about his future. Would the Heisman Trophy contender consider a future in professional football over pursuing one in baseball?

Murray’s baseball agent says that despite the excellent football season with the Sooners, the two-sport star will still report to spring training with the A’s.

kyler murray is said to be a co-favorite for the heisman trophy. but his baseball dream remains. his baseball agent scott boras says: "he will be in spring training with the a's."

Murray stellar year in both baseball and football for the Sooners has been nothing short of amazing.

The Texas native batted .296 with 13 doubles, 10 home runs, a .954 OPS and 10 stolen bases for the Sooners baseball team in the spring. That led the A’s to draft him with the No. 9 overall pick. They agreed to let him play football this fall, and Murray has been one of the best players in the country, replicating the success that Baker Mayfield had a season ago. Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy and went on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Murray has been so good that he would likely be a first-round pick in the NFL draft. He really could choose his sport at this point, because either way he seems destined for success. He even seems to know it.
