Kyler Murray believes he could play in NFL, still pursuing baseball
Kyler Murray isn’t going pro in the NFL, but he thinks he could if he wanted to.
The Oklahoma Sooners quarterback reaffirmed his commitment to a baseball career after his time in college comes to a close, though he admitted that he felt he could have a successful NFL career if he devoted himself to it.
Kyler Murray: I feel like I could play in the NFL but as far as giving (football) up, that's the plan. #Sooners

Murray is a Heisman contender, but he’s not even entertaining a professional football career. If anything, that speaks to his remarkable athletic talent. That said, any suggestion that he’ll do anything other than end his college football career to play baseball professionally after this season has been met with serious pushback by Murray’s agent, so there doesn’t seem to be much chance of a change in direction now.
