There are bold moves, and then there’s what the Florida Fire Frogs are doing.
The Advanced-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves announced on Thursday that they will be hosting a free beer night during their game against the St. Lucie Mets. Complimentary brew will be served from first pitch until the Mets score.

The Fire Frogs have given up 4.3 runs per game through their first 13 contests of the year, so the promotion may be short-lived. But this should be an easy (albeit risky) way for them to increase their unspectacular attendance this season (1,026 on average, eighth out of 12 in the Florida State League).
At the very least, it can’t be more ill-advised than the promotion that we saw elsewhere in Minor League Baseball last year.
