Report: Dexter Fowler wants four-year deal
Now that he has his World Series ring, Chicago Cubs free agent outfielder Dexter Fowler is looking for some long-term security.
According to a report by Bruce Levine of WSCR-AM on Monday, Fowler, who declined his qualifying offer from the Cubs, is seeking a four-year contract.

The 30-year-old Fowler was stellar in 2016, batting .276/.393/.447 with 13 home runs, 48 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases. He also made his first All-Star appearances and was a key contributor for the Cubs during their World Series run (in more ways than one).
Though Fowler strikes out a lot (139 whiffs on average his last two seasons), he provides quality production as a leadoff hitter/center fielder and has done more than enough to earn himself a multi-year deal on the open market.
