The Texas Rangers’ season may already be going south after just 14 games.
Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported on Wednesday that Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus suffered a fractured right elbow after getting hit by a pitch during a game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Andrus, a righty, was struck on the elbow by a 97 mph fastball from Angels reliever Keynan Middleton in the ninth inning of Wednesday’s 7-2 loss.
The 29-year-old Andrus is coming off a 2017 campaign where he hit 20 home runs with 88 RBIs and 25 stolen bases on a .297 batting average. An extended absence from Andrus (on top of the Rangers’ 4-10 start to the year) will likely make it difficult for the prediction of one of his teammates to come true.
