Eric Karros shows off 2003 Cubs World Series hat that was never needed

Eric-Karros-World-Series-hat

FOX Sports 1 analyst Eric Karros stuck a knife in the hearts of Chicago Cubs fans on Tuesday and twisted it. During the pregame show before Game 3 of the NLCS, Karros unveiled an infamous piece of memorabilia that he received when he was with the Cubs in 2003.

It was a hat with a World Series patch on it. As many of you know, the Cubs did not go to the World Series in 2003. The hat was put in the lockers of Karros and his teammates during Game 6 of the NLCS that year, before Chicago completely collapsed and the whole Steve Bartman thing happened. While people like to blame Bartman, the Cubs crapped their pants in Game 6 and went on to lose Game 7. A very small piece of a large mess was Bartman’s fault.

Karros, who played first base for the Cubs in 2003, is probably being cursed by Cubs fans everywhere.
