Felix Hernandez leaves game after taking line drive to hand

Felix Hernandez’s first spring training start went horribly wrong on Monday.

Hernandez was right in the right hand by a line drive and left the game in pain.

This is the worst possible start to Hernandez’s 2018 campaign. His 2017 was already underwhelming, managing just 86.2 innings with a 4.36 ERA and sparking talk of managing him more carefully. This is just terrible luck, and hopefully it turns out to be less serious than it appeared.
