New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. didn’t endear himself to any Kansas City Royals fans with his recent comments.

The Royals beat the Yankees 4-2 on Monday in Game 2 of their NLDS matchup at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, N.Y.

The visitors scored four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead and never looked back.

After the game, Chisholm was asked if the series felt “different” after Kansas City tied things up at 1-1. The Yankees’ midseason acquisition affirmed that his team was still going to win and the Royals “just got lucky.”

“It still feels the same, that we’re going to win it,” said Chisholm. “I don’t feel like anybody feels any different. We’re going to go out there and do our thing still. We still don’t feel like any team is better than us. We had a lot of missed opportunities tonight, so they just got lucky.”

The Yankees infielder has never been afraid to speak his mind. After Game 1, Chisholm similarly irked a few fans for inadvertently throwing shade at another AL team.

Chisholm was one of seven different Yankees to record a hit in Game 2. But New York went just 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position as the Royals rode their sturdy bullpen for the victory.
