San Francisco Giants outfielder Jerar Encarnacion turned in one of the worst ABS challenges of the MLB season so far on Sunday.
Encarnacion challenged an 0-1 pitch that was essentially right down the middle against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Steven Matz’s fastball was perfectly in the zone, but Encarnacion felt otherwise.
He then had to watch as the ABS system showed the ball piercing the strike zone with relative ease.

Encarnacion wound up lining out, but he couldn’t have felt great about his command of the strike zone after seeing that review. Whether it was worse than Jazz Chisholm’s recent attempt is a matter of debate.
The Giants wound up losing 2-1 in ten innings to cap off an 0-6 road trip. Three of those losses came in walk-off fashion, and they now sit at 13-21 on the season.
