The Chicago Cubs may have decided not to bring Joe Maddon back as manager, but that does not mean other teams aren’t interested in the veteran skipper.
Maddon has received interest from multiple teams for managerial jobs, according to MLB.com’s Jon Morosi. Morosi says the Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres are two of the teams that have shown interest in Maddon.

Maddon has history with the Angels. He was a longtime bench coach in the organization and even briefly served as an interim manager. He spent time with the team from 1975-2005 as both a player and later a coach.
Maddon managed the Tampa Bay Rays from 2006-2014, taking them to the World Series. He was the Chicago Cubs’ manager the last five seasons and led the team to their first World Series in 108 years.
