A furious Manny Machado ripped into the Boston Red Sox following the Orioles’ 5-2 loss at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.
Machado was upset because the Red Sox threw at him once again. During his first at-bat of the game, Boston’s Chris Sale dealt a pitch behind him. Baltimore manager Buck Showalter came out of the dugout after that pitch, which did not seem accidental. Both sides were warned.
Machado was cursing up a storm after the game.

“I have no respect for that organization. If they’re going to hit me, hit me. Don’t keep lingering around. Don’t keep doing that,” Machado said in a postgame interview with MASN’s Gary Thorne. “I’ve lost mad respect for that organization.”
Machado is furious. Said lost all respect for everyone with Red Sox. Tired of being thrown at. Whole lot of F bombs #orioles

Manny Machado just used five bad words in a row to describe the pitch behind him. I don't think I can write any. Wow

Baltimore apparently feels it owes Boston a retaliatory pitch too:

The drama between Machado and the Red Sox dates back to their previous series. Machado hurt himself after sliding into Dustin Pedroia to try breaking up a double play. Two games later, he was thrown at by a Red Sox pitcher.
So why would he have been thrown at on Tuesday night, the second game of this series between Boston and Baltimore, instead of during Monday’s game? It may have been retaliation for Machado taking his sweet time with his home run trot around the bases a day earlier.
