Jimmy Fallon used New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey to help him take a page out of Jimmy Kimmel’s book earlier this week, and the results were fantastic. In a similar segment to Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News,” Harvey took to the streets of New York to ask Mets fans for their thoughts on Matt Harvey. As you might expect, many of them failed to realize they were answering Harvey’s questions about Harvey.
The reactions weren’t quite as funny as the ones we saw from these Miami Heat fans last month, but they were pretty priceless. People get nervous when cameras are around, which is why many of them didn’t notice the words “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” written on the microphone. We’re glad they didn’t.
Fantastic effort from Harvey, who did a great job of keeping a straight face and messing with people.
