Mike Trout celebrated his 15th anniversary as a big leaguer in style.
In his first game back from the injured list, the Los Angeles Angels star helped the Halos snap a long skid, as he went 1-for-4 and hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. He added a walk and a run scored, as the Angels routed Texas, 13-1.
Here’s the video of that 438-foot Trout blast that extended the Angels’ lead to 11 runs.

Trout had spent three weeks on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring before making his return to action for the second game of the Rangers series. The Angels dropped all their previous seven outings, but they were not going to lose another one on Trout’s special day, as he added to his career home run total.
The three-time American League Most Valuable Player has 18 home runs in 2026 and 422 since he made his first appearance in the big leagues in 2011 with the Angels.
The Angels are going to need more of that from Trout for them to have at least a decent record by the end of the season. They are just 37-56 with four games left on their schedule before the All-Star break.
