Report: MLB could expand Arizona plan to multiple states
Major League Baseball is still exploring ways to play without plans in 2020, and things might be opening up for them.
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, MLB is considering expanding its Arizona plan to multiple state. The league could play games in Arizona, Texas, and Florida, or perhaps more states. Rosenthal suggests that the league could use 5 to 10 states depending on how many open up for business in accordance with federal guidelines.

Rosenthal says there is “a lot of momentum” among owners to at least play some games in 2020. They’re just still trying to figure out how, though it will almost certainly be without fans at first.
Of course, the players might have something to say about this, and there is some early evidence that these plans are making some of them uncomfortable. It’s possible that adding more states makes things a bit more acceptable to them.
