MLB reportedly investigating Yasiel Puig for role in nightclub fight
Here’s one situation that Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig might not be able to flip his way out of.
After allegedly being involved in a fight with security at a Miami nightclub earlier this week, the 24-year-old will be investigated by the MLB for his role in the incident, said a league spokesperson Friday night per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times adds that Miami police have determined the altercation did not involve Puig’s sister, as originally rumored, and that the fight was only between Puig and a bouncer, neither of whom will press charges, per Chris Cwik of Big League Stew.
Miami PD spokesman: "No shoving was alleged" between Puig and his sister.

Miami PD spokesman: "To the best of our knowledge, the only physical altercation was between the bouncer and Puig."

Because Puig and bouncer didn't have any interest in pressing charges against each other, Miami PD considers the case closed.

Nevertheless, Puig will be investigated by the league as a part of their new domestic violence policy.
The talented but immature outfielder has already caused many headaches for the Dodgers in the past, and with the team already exploring the possibility of trading him in recent months, Puig could be living on borrowed time in Los Angeles, regardless of the outcome of the MLB investigation.
