Former Philadelphia Phillies slugger Rhys Hoskins clearly still has a ton of support from the Philly faithful.
On Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers first baseman returned to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pa. for the opener of a three-game series against his former team.
Phillies fans instantly started cheering once they heard Hoskins’ familiar walk-up song, “Slide” by Calvin Harris, blaring from the stadium speakers with two outs in the top of the 2nd inning. Hoskins received a standing ovation as he walked up to the plate in a different uniform for the very first time.

Hoskins had quite the eventful homecoming.
The 31-year-old led off the 5th inning with a walk. Two outs later, he stole second base and laughed about it with his former catcher JT Realmuto. But the Phillies catcher got the last laugh as he tagged Hoskins out at the plate following a line drive single from Brewers batter Blake Perkins.

Realmuto gave Hoskins a hearty slap to the behind after the latter was gunned down by Phillies center fielder Johan Rojas.
Hoskins got some revenge during his next at-bat in the 7th inning. The 8-year MLB veteran hit a solo homer off Phillies starter Zach Wheeler — his 10th of the season — to put his team on the board 3-1.
The perfect homecoming ❤️
