Former Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault, according to a report.
Jamie Kelly of The Scoop Sports says Washington’s alleged sexual assault of a reporter is the reason the manager stepped down last week.
Dallas sports radio host Ben Rogers of “The Ben & Skin Show” on 105.3 The Fan says he heard the same.

Washington announced his sudden resignation last Friday in the middle of his eighth season as the team’s manager, citing an “off-the-field personal matter.” GM Jon Daniels said Washington’s resignation was not drug-related.
We’ve contacted the Rangers seeking comment on the report.
