It’s safe to say that New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge’s second half has not gone as planned, and now the team is ready to give him a bit of a mental break.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced Monday that Judge will be given “a couple days off” as his struggles continue.
Joe Girardi says Aaron Judge is going to get "a couple days off." That's certainly something.

After being the undisputed first half American League MVP — and a demeanor that has looked cool under pressure — Judge is hitting just .179 in the second half. He has seven home runs, but none since Aug. 16. It’s not clear if Judge’s issues are physical, mental, or both, but the Yankees are hoping that a few days away from the pressures of the game will help somewhat.
