Yasiel Puig forgives Ken Rosenthal after erroneous report
A report claiming Yasiel Puig stormed out of Dodger Stadium Monday night after the team informed him he would be traded or demoted turned out to be inaccurate, but Puig has forgiven the reporter who was responsible for it.
A few hours after the trade deadline passed, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports published a story claiming Rosenthal angrily left the ballpark after being informed that he was no longer in the Dodgers’ plans. Rosenthal later updated his report after both Puig’s agent and the team said Puig was never at the stadium and was told not to show up.
Rosenthal, who is one of the best MLB reporters in the business, apologized on Twitter.
To those upset with first version of Puig story: I’m with you. I take great pride in accuracy. It infuriates me that a key detail was wrong.

The information came from sources, but that’s not an excuse. It’s my job to check everything thoroughly.

The only solution in a situation like this is to apologize, correct the mistake and learn from it. And that’s what I’m doing.

To his credit, Puig forgave Rosenthal.
@ken_rosenthal don't worry bro, we all make mistakes #puigyourfriend #seeyousoon

Puig once looked like a budding superstar, but his stats have fallen off dramatically since he electrified the Dodgers’ fan base in 2013. In addition to not performing well on the field, Puig has been reprimanded on numerous occasions for doing immature things like this. The last thing he needs is inaccurate reports that raise more concerns about his character, so that was big of him to not roast Rosenthal.
