Yoenis Cespedes hits home run into third deck at Citi Field (Video)
Yoenis Cespedes has won the home run derby on two occasions. On Thursday, he hit a baseball where you might expect to see one land in an exhibition format, not an actual game.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Mets outfielder got hold of a John Lackey pitched and absolutely launched it to left field. When the ball landed, it did so in the third deck at Citi Field.
MLB’s Statcast measured the blast at a projected distance of 441 ft. with an exit velocity of 110 mph. ESPN Stats & Info calculated it at 466 ft. Either way, that ball was crushed. It also appears Cesepedes’ home run is the first in a regular season game to land in the stadium’s third deck.
The Mets believe Cespedes's blast is the only 3rd deck homer ever here at Citi. (Regular season, not talking BP)

The home run was No. 19 on the season and his 36th as a member of the Mets in 129 games.
