Alex Caruso leaves game after elbow to face from Mo Bamba

Alex Caruso

Alex Caruso left Wednesday night’s Los Angeles Lakers-Orlando Magic game with an injury.

Caruso ran a pick-and-roll with Dwight Howard near the end of the first quarter and drove to the basket on Mo Bamba. Bamba blocked Caruso’s shot but elbowed the Lakers guard in the face while trying to grab the ball.

Dwight Howard was able to finish off the bucket for the Lakers, but Caruso went down injured. He headed off the court and went to the locker room to be checked out. He was also said to have been bleeding.

The 25-year-old guard has averaged 5.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and a steal in 19.6 minutes per game this season.
