Andrew Bynum does not rule out NBA comeback

Andrew Bynum has not appeared in an NBA game in nearly two years, but the former Los Angeles Lakers center is not ready to say he will never play professional basketball again.

TMZ caught up with Bynum earlier this week and asked him if he is retired. While he was quick to say that he is, he did not rule out a comeback attempt.

“I’m not sure,” Bynum said. “Anything’s possible.”

Possible? Sure. Probable? Um, no.

Bynum, who has battled chronic knee problems since the Lakers drafted him in 2005, has not appeared in an NBA game since March 2014. He previously expressed a desire to return to L.A., but that isn’t going to happen.

Even when Bynum was playing, there were indications that he didn’t care about basketball. When you combine that reputation with his physical health, the chances of him ever playing again are slim to none.
