Austin Reaves trying to qualify for notable tournament in another sport
With his team’s season long over, Austin Reaves is (literally) going golfing.
The Korn Ferry Tour announced to social media on Monday that the Los Angeles Lakers guard Reaves will be attempting to qualify for one of their tournaments, the Visit Knoxville Open. They also shared a video of Reaves showing off a crisp golf swing.

Reaves is participating in the qualifying event for the tournament and needs to finish in the top four of his qualifying round to advance to the official Visit Knoxville Open this weekend. The tournament is held annually in Knoxville, Tenn. and is a regular stroke-play competition with a total prize fund of $1 million (last year’s winner earned $180,000).
We already knew that Reaves, who averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists a game in this third career NBA season this year, was a superb TopGolf player. Now he is trying to take his game to the next level and perhaps give this fellow golf enthusiast in the NBA a run for his money.
